Introducing: The Python
1 Feb
For awhile I’ve been batting around the idea of starting my own “what I wore” fashion blog in the vein of J’s Everyday Fashion or Bows and Sequins.
I’ve been looking around and I don’t see many fashion bloggers set in Chicago who also work in more traditional offices. J is in Orlando and she hates dress pants. Uh, well, I live and work in Chicago so I pretty much wear pants a good portion of the year. Jessica at Bows and Sequins lives in Chicago but apparently works in a slightly more laid-back industry because her outfits are definitely more casual.
A lot of other fashion blogger are also either A. too casual or B. live in a climate that allows them to dress a little differently than we do in Chicago. So, I’m hoping to fill a gap in the market. Not that I’m a fashion guru. Just, you know, a 30-something woman who works in an office and tries to look nice day-to-day.
Anyway, on to what I put on this morning.
Dress – H&M
Camisole – The Limited
Necklace – The Limited
Watch –Fossil
Hose – Walgreens (yes, seriously)
Booties – Liz Claiborne/DSW
So, without further adieu, welcome to Loop Looks!

For those of you looking for casual outfit inspiration, this one’s for you!
Nothing is classier to me than tweed and a pencil skirt.
A reader recently contacted me and asked for help with a pair of ankle boots she just bought.
Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
